I can't remember the last time I scrutinize over my English spelling since the weekly spelling test in primary school.
But lately, I've been telling myself to check the spelling every now and then. The reason?
Well, I went to an American university and they uses American English. Singapore uses British English. From the relentless nagging of my ex-boss, I now keep in check every z's in a word - changing them to s'es. That only for work purposes.
I've been too comfortable with my z's that reading over with UK spelling leave me in doubt if they are the correct spelling. I seriously need to invest in a good dictionary.
Or maybe...we'll throw out US and UK English altogether and start embracing Singlish!

How I miss being a couch potato!
That two weeks or so of doing nothing except reading, gaming and basically vegging-out in front of the laptop was the best useless moments of my life.
Ever since I got the internship position as a Media Assistant, my life turns and tumbles around the media scene. I've never experience two months passing by at 200km/hr. I soaked up the experience like a dry sponge.
At the end of it, boss trusted me as editor of a client's second newsletter. The feeling of having your writings published...I couldn't have asked for anything more at this point in my life. Trade shows, media contacts...they are all icing on the cake. I'm even proud of my big blunder of stating the editor from the wrong newspaper. Hey, everybody make mistakes to learn right...
Fresh graduate. While friends are looking desperately high and low for their chance, I got it merely after two weeks upon graduation. I thank my lucky stars for everything.
Now for a change of pace, I'm a temp admin assistant for two weeks with ST701. Again, being able to walk in and out of my dream workplace (not in my dream job though) is exhilarating! One more week...then I'll have to return the pass to 'my Disneyland'. That really sucked...
